Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)

Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI)

For Healthcare Professionals

LA Fire Card offers both the Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) and Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) classes for healthcare professionals in California. We are certified by the American Crisis Prevention and Management Association (ACPMA).

The Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) also known as AB-508 violence prevention class and the Crisis Prevention & Intervention class are designed for individuals working within healthcare and emergency medical services fields. These courses teach the healthcare and emergency medical services professionals the techniques to use when dealing with the potentially assaultive client. Students will understand and have the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and the tools to de-escalate situations prior to any physical intervention or assault. Physical intervention skills are taught through simulation and role-play.

Satisfies requirements for California AB 508, Section 3, sub 1257.7 and 1257.8 training for healthcare providers.
