Note: The class does not occur at 11AM SPT. The time slot is simply to create the registration. Upon registering, look for an email from "email@example.com" to begin the self paced class. Complete the MAB or CPI class online at your leisure. The course consists an electronic book and open book exam. Certificates of completion are valid for 1 year and offer a total of 16 Continuing Education Credits or CEUs (8 each). IMPORTANT: LA Fire Card’s MAB and CPI courses are not affiliated with any other company offering MAB and CPI courses. The CPI Card is NOT the "CPI Blue Card". Be sure to contact your school, facility, hospital, staffing agency, etc. to verify that these courses are accepted prior to registering and paying for the course. This class is non-refundable. The MAB and CPI courses are designed for individuals working within healthcare and emergency medical services fields. This course teaches the healthcare and emergency medical services professionals the techniques to use when dealing with the potentially assaultive client. Students will understand and have the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and the tools to de-escalate situations prior to any physical intervention or assault. Physical intervention skills are taught through simulation and role-play.
