Service Description

Complete the MAB or CPI class online at your leisure. The course consists of 7 modules that include, videos, slides and intermittent exams. Upon completion of the online class, you will receive BOTH your MAB and CPI cards the SAME DAY (if within business hours) as a picture with your name, issue dates and expiration dates printed on it and the hard copy cards mailed to you. The cards are valid for 1 year and offer a total of 16 Continuing Education Credits or CEUs (8 each). IMPORTANT: The CPI and MAB courses are certified by the ACPMA (American Crisis Prevention & Management Association) a California state and nationally recognized certification company and are each valid for 8 Continuing Education Credits (or CEUs). LA Fire Card’s MAB and CPI courses are not affiliated with any other company offering MAB and CPI courses. The CPI Card is NOT the "CPI Blue Card". Be sure to contact your school, facility, hospital, staffing agency, etc. to verify that these courses are accepted prior to registering and paying for the course. This class is non-refundable. Feel free to contact LA Fire Card with any questions you may have before registering and paying for the course. Once you submit your payment, you will receive a link (WITHIN 12 HOURS during business hrs) to complete the online class. You have 21 days to complete the class online. The MAB and CPI courses are designed for individuals working within healthcare and emergency medical services fields. This course teaches the healthcare and emergency medical services professionals the techniques to use when dealing with the potentially assaultive client. Students will understand and have the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and the tools to de-escalate situations prior to any physical intervention or assault. Physical intervention skills are taught through simulation and role-play.
