You will receive a link (during business hours) to complete the online class. PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 24 HOURS TO RECEIVE THE LINK. ________ Complete the CPI class online at your leisure. The course consists of 7 modules that include, videos, slides and intermittent exams. Upon completion of the online class, you will be able to print your own certificate of completion. The card is valid for 1 year and offers 8 Continuing Education Credits or CEUs. This class is certified by the ACPMA (American Crisis Prevention and Management Association). You have 21 days to complete the class online. IMPORTANT: This course is certified by the ACPMA (American Crisis Prevention & Management Association) a California state and nationally recognized certification company. LA Fire Card’s CPI course is NOT affiliated with any other company offering CPI courses and is NOT the "CPI Blue Card". Be sure to contact your school, facility, hospital, staffing agency, etc. to verify that this course is accepted prior to registering and paying for the course. Crisis Prevention & Intervention course is designed for individuals working within healthcare and emergency medical services fields. This course teaches the healthcare and emergency medical services professionals the techniques to use when dealing with the potentially assaultive client. Students will understand and have the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and the tools to de-escalate situations prior to any physical intervention or assault. Physical intervention skills are taught through simulation and role-play.
