Note: The live online class DOES NOT OCCUR AT 11AM. The time and date you select is SIMPLY TO CREATE THE REGISTRATION. Once registered, within 24 hours, look for an email from "noreply@exambuilder.com" to begin the self paced class. ________ Complete the CPI class online at your leisure. The course consists of an electronic book and open book exam. Upon completion of the online class, you will be able to print your own certificate of completion. The certificate is valid for 1 year and offers 8 Continuing Education Credits or CEUs. You have 30 days to complete the class online. IMPORTANT: LA Fire Card’s CPI course is NOT affiliated with any other company offering CPI courses and is NOT the "CPI Blue Card". Be sure to contact your school, facility, hospital, staffing agency, etc. to verify that this course is accepted prior to registering and paying for the course. Crisis Prevention & Intervention course is designed for individuals working within healthcare and emergency medical services fields. This course teaches the healthcare and emergency medical services professionals the techniques to use when dealing with the potentially assaultive client. Students will understand and have the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and the tools to de-escalate situations prior to any physical intervention or assault. Physical intervention skills are taught through simulation and role-play.
