The course consists of an electronic book and open book exam. Upon completion of the online class, you will be able to print your own certificate of completion. The certificate is valid for 1 year and offers 8 Continuing Education Credits or CEUs. You have 30 days to complete the class online. Crisis Prevention & Intervention course is designed for individuals working within healthcare and emergency medical services fields. This course teaches the healthcare and emergency medical services professionals the techniques to use when dealing with the potentially assaultive client. Students will understand and have the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and the tools to de-escalate situations prior to any physical intervention or assault. Physical intervention skills are taught through simulation and role-play.
